Nicholas Needham Studio is a team of young queer New Yorker’s setting out to take over the world, creating spaces for girls to slay and spread joy. Founding members Nicholas James Needham, Tanner Abel, and Andrew Gowen work remotely across NYC.

Nicholas James Needham is a Photographer and Art Director based in New York City. They graduated from Parsons the New School for Design with a BFA in Photography. Nicholas is one half of the photography duo Tanner + Nicholas, established 2015. Their approach to each subject is based on challenging expectations and creating worlds where people can see themselves.

In 2021 they founded their studio as an environment to create opportunities for their community. The Studio’s work is inquisitive, exploratory, grounded, technically precise, researched, and most importantly joyful. 

In their first year operating, The NN Studio team worked with clients Victoria’s Secret, DKNY x Paper Magazine, K.ngsley, Vogue Runway, Amanda Lepore, W Magazine x Marshall Columbia, Bombas, Harper Collins x Sasha Velour, Zerina Akers, One Model Management, The Standard Hotels, Kandy Muse, and more.
